Azerbaijan
Situated where Europe meets Asia on the western shore of the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan blends ancient Zoroastrian heritage with modern oil wealth. The capital Baku features a dramatic juxtaposition of its medieval walled Old City and futuristic glass skyscrapers like the Flame Towers. The country is the oldest and largest oil producer in the Caspian region.
