1. Nature of the tool
Humanity Forecast is an independent research and educational scenario exploration tool. It is not an official forecast, prediction, or advisory service. The projections shown are illustrative scenarios based on mathematical models and publicly available data. They should not be used as the sole basis for any policy, investment, business, or personal decision.
2. No guarantee of accuracy
All data, projections, and derived indicators are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we make reasonable efforts to use authoritative sources and sound methodology, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on this site. Long-range demographic and economic scenarios are inherently uncertain and become increasingly speculative beyond the UN WPP 2024 horizon of 2100.
3. Not affiliated with the United Nations
This project uses publicly available data from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2024 revision. It is notaffiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by the United Nations, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, or any UN agency. The phrase “UN WPP 2024” refers solely to the data source. Post-2100 scenario extensions are our own modeling and are not UN products.
4. Data sources and attribution
Country-level indicators are sourced from the World Bank, UNDP, ILO, UNODC, Institute for Economics & Peace, and Our World in Data. Each source retains its own terms of use and licensing. We attribute all sources in our methodology documentation. If any data owner believes their terms have been violated, please contact us.
5. Economic scenarios
GDP, dependency ratio, and fiscal pressure figures shown on country pages are derived from a simplified convergence model applied to population projections. They are illustrative scenarios, not economic forecasts. They do not account for institutional change, technological disruption, conflict, migration, climate effects, or policy decisions. They should not be cited as predictions of future economic outcomes.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the creators and contributors of Humanity Forecast shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or in connection with the use of this website, its data, projections, or any decisions made based on information provided here. Use of this site is at your own risk.
7. No professional advice
Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, legal, medical, or professional advice of any kind. Consult qualified professionals before making decisions based on demographic or economic projections.
8. Intellectual property
The website design, code, methodology, and original analysis are the intellectual property of the project creators. Underlying source data (UN, World Bank, etc.) is subject to the terms of those respective organizations. You may cite and reference our projections with appropriate attribution.
9. Privacy
This site does not collect personal data, require accounts, or use tracking cookies. Basic server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) may be retained for operational purposes. We do not sell or share any user information.
10. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
