Bangladesh
One of the most densely populated countries on Earth, Bangladesh occupies the vast delta where the Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers meet the Bay of Bengal. The capital Dhaka is a megacity and the global center of the garment manufacturing industry. Despite vulnerability to flooding and cyclones, Bangladesh has achieved remarkable economic growth and poverty reduction in recent decades.
