Belarus
A large, flat, landlocked nation in Eastern Europe, Belarus is often called 'Europe's last dictatorship' under its long-serving president. The capital Minsk was almost entirely rebuilt in Soviet style after World War II devastation. Belarus retains extensive Soviet-era state control over its economy and is closely aligned politically and economically with Russia.
