Benin
A narrow West African nation stretching from the Gulf of Guinea to the Niger River, Benin was historically the seat of the powerful Kingdom of Dahomey, known for its fierce warrior culture. The economic capital Cotonou is the main port city, while Porto-Novo is the official capital. Benin is one of Africa's most stable democracies and a major cotton producer.
