Bulgaria
Situated in southeastern Europe on the Black Sea coast, Bulgaria is one of the oldest states on the continent, with a history stretching back to 681 AD. The capital Sofia sits at the foot of Mount Vitosha. Bulgaria's diverse landscape includes Black Sea beaches, Danube plains, and ski resorts in the Rila and Pirin mountain ranges.
