Cabo Verde
An archipelago of ten volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean about 570 km off the West African coast, Cabo Verde bridges African and Portuguese cultures. The capital Praia sits on Santiago, the largest island. Despite having virtually no natural resources and limited rainfall, Cabo Verde has built one of Africa's most stable democracies and a tourism-driven economy.
