Chad
A massive landlocked nation in north-central Africa, Chad spans from the Sahara Desert in the north to tropical savannas in the south. The capital N'Djamena sits at the confluence of the Chari and Logone rivers. Lake Chad, once one of Africa's largest lakes, has shrunk by 90% since the 1960s. Oil exports since 2003 have become the primary revenue source.
