Cyprus
An island nation in the eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus has been divided since 1974 between the internationally recognized Republic of Cyprus in the south and the Turkish-controlled north. The capital Nicosia is the world's last divided capital city. Cyprus blends Greek and Turkish cultural influences, ancient ruins, and a modern service economy centered on tourism and financial services.
