Georgia
An ancient nation at the crossroads of Europe and Asia in the South Caucasus, Georgia claims to be one of the cradles of winemaking, with an 8,000-year tradition of fermenting grapes in clay vessels (qvevri). The capital Tbilisi is built along the Kura River gorge, with a picturesque Old Town. Georgia's dramatic landscapes include the Greater Caucasus mountains and Black Sea coastline.
