Guinea
A West African nation on the Atlantic coast, Guinea holds perhaps the world's largest reserves of bauxite (aluminum ore) and significant iron, gold, and diamond deposits. The capital Conakry stretches along a narrow peninsula. Guinea's Fouta Djallon highlands are the source of several major West African rivers, including the Niger, Senegal, and Gambia.
