Lebanon
A small Mediterranean nation in the Middle East, Lebanon has long been a cultural and commercial crossroads where East meets West. The capital Beirut, once called the 'Paris of the Middle East,' has been repeatedly rebuilt after conflicts. Lebanon is home to the ancient Phoenician cities of Byblos and Tyre, the iconic Cedars of God, and an extraordinarily diverse religious landscape with 18 recognized sects.
