Paraguay
A landlocked South American nation at the heart of the continent, Paraguay is bisected by the Paraguay River into the developed eastern region and the wild Chaco wilderness to the west. The capital Asunción is one of South America's oldest cities, founded in 1537. Paraguay is the world's largest exporter of hydroelectric power, primarily from the massive Itaipú Dam shared with Brazil.
