Saint Kitts and Nevis
The smallest sovereign state in the Americas by both area and population, Saint Kitts and Nevis is a two-island Caribbean nation in the Lesser Antilles. The capital Basseterre on Saint Kitts features well-preserved British colonial architecture. The islands' sugar industry has given way to tourism and a pioneering citizenship-by-investment program that has become a model for other Caribbean nations. Mount Liamuiga, a dormant volcano, rises to 1,156 meters.
