Senegal
A West African nation on the Atlantic coast, Senegal is considered one of the continent's most stable democracies, with a vibrant cultural scene centered in the capital Dakar. The island of Gorée off Dakar's coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a poignant symbol of the Atlantic slave trade. Senegal is known for its teranga (hospitality), wrestling culture, and the music of Youssou N'Dour.
